Grilled Steak with Kale Caesar Salad and Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb (750 g) Beef Grilling Steak (tenderloin, top sirloin, strip loin or rib steak)
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) salt
  • ½ tsp (2.5 mL) ground pepper
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) garlic dried flakes
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) onion powder
  • ½ tsp (2.5 mL) hot paprika
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) dried basil
  • ½ tsp (2.5 mL) dried thyme

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, paprika, basil and thyme. Rub spices on both sides of the steak and allow to marinade while preparing sides.
  2. Grill meat for 2-3 min on each side for a medium rare steak or cook until desired doneness.
  3. Serve with Kale Caesar Salad & Smashed Potatoes
