1- 8 oz (250 g) pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
2 cups (500 mL) cottage cheese
1 pkg (24 g) taco seasoning
2 cups (500 mL) mild salsa
2 cups (500 mL) shredded cheddar cheese
1 beef steak tomato, finely chopped
½ cup (125 mL) minced green onions
¼ cup (50 mL) pitted and sliced black olives
Tortilla chips for serving
Method
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, using electric mixer beat cream cheese, cottage cheese, and taco seasoning until smooth. Spread mixture evenly into a 9-inch (or a little larger) round serving dish.
Layer salsa, cheese and tomato over cream cheese mixture.
Garnish with green onion and black olives.
Refrigerate and serve chilled with tortilla chips.
Tips
This dip can be served immediately or can be covered and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
