Farmers Cameron & Lisa

Cameron and Lisa want to do their part to protect the habitat and the grassland ecosystem on their western Manitoba farm. They raise cattle and strive to make a positive impact on the environment by implementing regenerative agriculture practices. They credit their involvement with local conservation organizations for helping make these changes possible. They are also actively involved in their local grazing club. Grazing clubs exist throughout the province. They acts as networking clubs for livestock producers and provide opportunities for farmers to come together to pass on knowledge, learn about new techniques and share resources and equipment. Cameron enjoys learning from this neighbours, but also thinks it’s important to consider what’s being done in other part of the country and in parts of the world when it comes to ecosystem services and climate change solutions.
