We Produce Feed

There are a lot of people who play important roles in supporting farmers and their livestock. Kevin & Colin are 2nd Generation chicken and grain farmers from central Manitoba. They know that quality food comes from quality feed and they work with a livestock nutritionist to ensure their feed ration meets the needs of their chickens at every stage of growth. Chicken feed is made up of a carefully balanced recipe of high quality, locally sourced ingredients, like wheat, corn, and soybeans, fortified with vitamins and minerals. There is a lot of cutting edge science and technology involved in raising chickens to modern standards. Broiler chickens in Manitoba are free to roam the barn and have access to fresh feed and water 24 hours a day. Their nutritious balanced diet ensures optimal growth and is one of the reasons hormones and steroids have not been used, and are in fact banned, on Canadian chicken farms since the 1960’s.
