2 Tbsp (30 mL) green onions, slivered (optional garnish)
Method
In jar with tight fitting lid place all sauce ingredients. Shake well. Set aside.
In medium saucepan bring 4 cups water to boil. Add noodles. Reduce heat to simmer until noodles are just cooked through. Drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
In large skillet over high heat, add 2 tablespoons (30 mL) oil. Add broccoli florets and water. Cover, reduce heat to medium and allow to steam until just barely cooked through, but broccoli is al dente (still has a bite). About 3-4 minutes.
Remove cooked broccoli from pan. Increase heat to high and add remaining 1 tablespoon (15 mL). Add sliced beef and allow to brown, stirring occasionally.
Once beef is just cooked through, reduce heat to medium, whisk sauce and add to pan. Stir until sauce has thickened slightly. Add broccoli and noodles, stir until evenly coated.
Portion into bowls.
Garnish with slivered onions and toasted sesame seeds, optional.
