Farming in the Forest

Laura grew up in the Belair Provincial Forest on land her grandparents homesteaded. It is there that she developed a love of nature. After working as a wilderness guide in many northern and remote locations, and spending some time working on ranches in Australia and Alberta, she and her husband, Ryan, returned to the the forest where it all began. They raise cattle and sheep on pastures shared with deer, wolves, foxes, and bears, and enjoy seeing the ecosystem grow healthier year after year.
