For 34 years Great Tastes of Manitoba has been the province’s most-watched food series reaching more Manitobans than anything on The Food Network.

Each week a local expert joins our host, Dez Daniels, in the kitchen. They cook and share tips for choosing and preparing locally grown ingredients. Viewers are also introduced to the families and agricultural communities that work hard to bring these ingredients to market.

Great Tastes of Manitoba is the only collaboration of its kind in Canada.

Great Tastes’ connects Manitobans with dieticians, chefs, home economists and experts from seven different farmer directed organizations. The series and its accompanying digital channels are a one-stop shop for anyone who is interested in knowing where their food comes from, and supporting local farmers.

Established in 1990, the television series has outlasted all other locally produced programming and still maintains its ranking as Manitoba’s most watched food series, reaching an average of 25,000 Manitobans each week. The first 32 seasons of Great Tastes of Manitoba has aired on 5 different broadcast networks, included 7 different hosts, and featured 25 unique locally0produced ingredients.

Great Tastes has grown to become much more than just a television series with digital media platforms and a community of over 12,000 fans online. On social media we can share meal plans and recipes along with behind the scenes content from the series.
